Habby ("the App") is developed by Mahdiur Rahman ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — collected when you sign in with email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. If you choose Sign in with Apple's private relay, we only receive the relay address, not your real email.
- Password — only when you create an account with email/password. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth and never stored in plain text.
- Display name (optional) — only if you provide one. With Sign in with Apple or Google, your name may be passed through on first sign-in.
- Anonymous users can use the App without providing any personal information; an anonymous account ID is generated locally.
Habit and Mood Data
- Habit names, schedules, completion entries, and notes you create.
- Daily mood ratings you log.
- Feedback messages you submit through the App.
- This data is stored securely in our database and is only accessible by you.
Purchase Information
- When you start a free trial or purchase a Habby Pro subscription, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive a transaction identifier and subscription status (active / expired / trialing) via RevenueCat — we do not receive your payment method or full Apple ID.
Analytics
- We use PostHog (EU-hosted) to collect product analytics such as screen views, feature usage, and app lifecycle events (open, foreground, background). This helps us improve the App.
- Analytics events are associated with your user ID so we can understand usage patterns over time.
- We do not track your individual habit content for analytics — only that an event happened.
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are collected. We do not perform cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Device Information
- We collect basic device information (operating system, app version) through analytics to diagnose issues.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the App's core functionality: habit tracking, mood logging, and personalised insights.
- To process subscriptions and verify entitlement to Habby Pro features.
- To improve the App based on aggregated usage patterns.
- To send you habit reminders and mood check-in notifications (only if you enable them).
Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on Supabase (cloud infrastructure) with row-level security, meaning only you can access your own data.
- Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth and are never stored in plain text.
- We do not sell, share, or provide your personal data to third parties beyond the service providers listed below.
Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account exists.
- You can delete individual habits and their history at any time within the App.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the App — go to More → Account → Delete account. This is irreversible and removes your authentication record, habits, entries, mood data, and feedback.
- Deleting your Habby account does not cancel any active Apple subscription. Manage Apple subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (use the in-app account deletion described above).
- Export your data.

Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
